Alcohol is the most commonly used addictive substance in the United States.

  • Hosting underage drinking in your home is illegal. Know the law!
  • One in every 12 adults suffers from alcohol abuse or dependence. Several million more engage in risky drinking patterns (e.g., binge drinking). (NCADD)
  • More than 7 million children live in a household where at least one parent is dependent on or has abused alcohol.(NCADD ) 
  • Excessive alcohol consumption cost the U.S. $224 Billion in 2006, mostly due to binge drinking. (CDC )

Talk. They Hear You. Learn to keep your child alcohol free. Use these resources to talk about the dangers of underage drinking.
