Red Ribbon Month is an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States. In honor of Red Ribbon Month, our Youth in Action students at State College of Florida- Collegiate School participated in a school-wide “red-out” day to show their commitment to stay drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free.

Students wore red and made stress balls while learning about the negative effects of substance use. Anti-drug posters were created by students and are visible throughout SCF’s campus. Stay tuned throughout this month to see the red ribbon events from all of our Manatee County High Schools.
